Frequently Asked Questions

What is the strategic significance of the 2024-2025 Sustainability Report? The 2024-2025 report serves as a strategic roadmap that consolidates our 120-year history of building thriving farming communities. It utilizes a Double Materiality Matrix to identify 14 ESG topics that are structural to our business continuity and long-term competitiveness. This framework translates impacts on people and ecosystems into strategic financial and operational decisions, ensuring the resilience of the entire cocoa value chain.
Who is the intended audience for this report? This document provides value to a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, procurement teams, investors, and research partners. For international clients, the report offers transparency through data verified by third parties like Icontec and SBTi. For our internal teams, it functions as a shared management framework to validate our progress against global standards such as GRI, SASB, and the CSRD.
Does the report address Luker’s entire corporate strategy? Yes. The report encompasses the full scope of our corporate operations and the management of our Triple-Impact Vision. This includes our industrial decarbonization strategy, circular economy initiatives such as the upcycling brand Upia, and the sustainable sourcing of non-cocoa materials from 1,500 suppliers.
