By emphasizing the importance of understanding and celebrating our differences, we aim to nurture spaces where everyone feels valued, respected, and inspired to collaborate.

Our commitment extends to eliminating unconscious biases and discrimination, offering opportunities to historically marginalized groups, and consistently communicating in a manner that reinforces an inclusive culture for all team members.

TENT AND UNSTUCK PARTNERSHIP

In response to the rising numbers of displaced Venezuelans and other refugees, Luker Chocolate, supported by our Talent Management, Sustainability, and Operations teams, collaborated with the Tent Partnership for Refugees (Tent) and CUSO in 2021 to hire and integrate refugees at our Bogotá chocolate factory.

In 2022, we joined forces with UNSTUCK, a Tent initiative that focuses on scaling job creation for refugees in global supply chains. Through our partnership with UNSTUCK, we are now the preferred supplier for global brands who share our values and commitment to expanding our refugee hiring program. As a result, between 2022 and 2023, we hired 15 refugee employees, filling 7% of our level IV operator vacancies.

WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT PRINCIPLES (WEPS)

In 2021, we endorsed the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPS), a set of business practices that promote gender inclusion and empowerment., reinforcing our dedication to gender inclusion and women's empowerment. Central to our sustainability efforts is our pursuit of gender equality, equal development opportunities, and the promotion of women in
leadership roles with fair compensation. Recognizing the distinct challenges women encounter, we provide amenities like a dedicated space in our chocolate factory for nursing mothers. Additionally, we offer extensive training on diversity, inclusion, unconscious biases, and workplace harassment awareness. As of 2023, we have achieved 50% of our set goals in these areas.
